Mateusz is an attorney with several years of experience. Since the beginning of his career, he has been dealing overwhelmingly with disputes, business law and white collar crime. He has extensive experience especially in construction, business and unfair competition disputes.

Mateusz is very comfortable in courts and prosecutors' offices, where he has spent thousands of hours successfully representing clients' interests. He efficiently navigates between civil and criminal aspects of cases. He is passionate about the law with above-average knowledge and theoretical preparation, which he efficiently translates into practice in his cases.

He has handled dozens of proceedings involving construction investments, including infrastructure investments, worth hundreds of millions of zlotys. Repeatedly successfully protected the rights of clients in disputes involving unfair competition. He advises company boards on business development and challenging situations. The quality of his advice is evidenced by the fact that he has been highly trusted by clients for years. Before joining GP Partners, he worked at law firms specializing in litigation and arbitration.

Selected experience

  • Representation of an investor in five construction-infrastructure disputes with elements of innovative technologies and intellectual property rights with a value in excess of PLN 120 million (approx. €30 million), against a contractor who walked off the construction site, and in a criminal case in which the contractor's representatives were charged with bid rigging.
  • Representation of a leading IT business process outsourcing company in a case involving intra-Community and international freedom to provide services and choice of place of business in cases with a value in excess of PLN 400 million (approx. €90 million).
  • Representation of a leading manufacturing company in more than a dozen civil and criminal disputes involving unfair competition and industrial property rights. The client began manufacturing components of its products by shortening supply chains. Because of this, it was attacked by its previous supplier and monopolist in the components market with false allegations of unfair competition and industrial property, including imitation and theft of technology, with the aim of removing it from the market by prohibiting production, among other things. We refuted the allegations and the client continues to operate and expand its business.
  • Representation of the client (shareholder and board member) in corporate disputes related to the misappropriation of the company's infrastructure (digital assets of the company) by the shareholder, including proceedings to recover the infrastructure and dissolve the company.

Mateusz is a law graduate from Leon Koźmiński Academy in Warsaw. He is a graduate of postgraduate studies in the field of Law of New Technologies at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
