Counsel as a Service

We offer in-house lawyer solutions that combine the expertise of legal specialists with the efficiency and business experience of an in-house lawyer, for companies that do not have their own internal legal team.

We offer in-house lawyer solutions that combine the expertise of legal specialists with the efficiency and business experience of an in-house lawyer. Companies without in-house counsel are often forced to rely solely on law firms, by engaging them for day-to-day matters. Except law firms rarely know the organization well enough to replace an in-house lawyer.

Moreover, in-house lawyers typically have different qualifications and profiles than lawyers employed by law firms. Experience as an in-house lawyer allows optimizing processes and increasing the quality of law application in the organization.

It can also be a challenge to obtain legal services as quickly as they may be needed on a day to day basis across multiple areas of an organization where they are needed.

What we offer

We offer the appointment of a legal advisor with in-house legal experience (several of our lawyers have this specific experience), who will provide legal advice and, above all, obtain information about the legal needs of the client in an agreed amount of time. The task of CaaS (Counsel as a Service) includes:

  • Getting to know the organization on-site to create relevant channels of communication with decision-makers. This relationship will then be maintained through both on-site presence and remote contact.
  • Identifying legal needs and managing those needs or otherwise making referrals to another service provider as necessary.
  • Establishing regular operational reviews to ensure compliance and adherence to standard operating procedures for risk management and avoidance of liability before issues become "critical."
  • Informs on upcoming changes in the regulatory environment and their impact on the client's business.
  • Solves issues "on the spot" where feasible, within the mutually agreed monthly budgeted time.
  • Ongoing management of legal projects. A lawyer's work does not end with the signing of a contract and does not begin again with a dispute; it is crucial to manage projects as they are being implemented, to bring them safely to completion. Or at least, to have good material for a project dispute.
